I and a new acquitance talk about finding our one true love. I was very excited talking about it.

This event is very significant because I did not expect to have this conversation with an acquitance. We talk about her love story and all.

The essense qualities are being open to oppurtunities around me and being courageous too since it was my second time to do an impromptu interview.

I was called by my friend Leandro to help in organizing the event. I felt happy that I was attracting what I wanted and that is to be spontaneous.

What made this event significant, memorable, and/or meaningful?

The event is significant because often I caught myself that I cannot do it or that there is no oppurtunities for me. I need to have money to have an oppurtunity. But I felt that I am wrong. I am in reality enough. My shame comes from my scarsity mindtality

I was riding the jeepney going to the city. It was very traffic the jeepney barely moved. I felt I knew better.

The event was significant because it was my first time to have a feeling of positive to make things work even with the seemingly traffic and being late for my appointment.

Give a short description of the event. What feelings were evoked?

Friday is the graduation day of students in CELI. I am not required to attend as I am a part time teacher. The feeling that was evoke in my heart is the feeling of compassion and support for my student. I want to live a life of meaning for myself and for other. So although we had just had classes for 2 weeks. I am happy to be there for her last day in Cebu.

What made this event significant, memorable, and/or meaningful?

The event is significant because I made my day work to be able to balance my responsibilities not only with my FLEX enrollment too but even give support to my Japanese Student.

What essence qualities in you were activated in doing the event?

The essence qualities that were activated being optimistic, excited, generous and courageous.

I always go for my school class. Although, I part of me says that teaching maybe fun, there is also a part of me that says it is boring. So coming from LEAP learning. I shifted my feeling to a more empowering and that is to be joyful. It gave the mechanism to take pictures of the students in English School.

The event was significant because I don’t normally take pictures in English School.

Someone Special

LEAP 1st Journal Entry

I and my sister were talking in the dining table for about 2 hours. I felt connected to my sister knowing that I been occupied with other concerns.

This event is significant, memorable and meaningful because it is away for me to be in essence. That after all I want to be connected to my family especially to my family members. I was remembering when was the last time I gave part of my time to my sister.

The essence qualities that were activated in doing the event is being committed to be loving by giving time to my sister. Also, being open to the opportunity that prompted itself when I and my sister already started our conversation where in instead of cutting short my conversation. I just listened to her and give her my time. Another quality is being trusting, trusting that all is well, that I would be able to manage my other responsibility even if I inserted the opportunity time with my sister.

My Lola Has Facebook

With my lola

I chanced to visit my lola already twice this July. She lived in our hometown which is a three-hour bus ride from the city. During our visit, it inspired me together with my auntie to create a social media account for her.

Being active in the social media gave me a thought that it would easy work. Plus it would be a great way to easily tag her with the pictures we have together with her.

As my lola will be celebrating her 80th birthday this September. We would often hear from her about her preparations for death. Who would like to have her lola talk about it. Every grandchild would wish a long life for such a caring lola. I, for one would not want to talk about it.

Our lola is so much hospitable. She prepares to host for the annual barrio fiesta (Spanish term for Town's Feast) three to six months before the event. She persist raising her own pigs for the fiesta as she had always been doing. As we consider her age that would not be reasonable for her to do any longer. That was why, lola being a little stubborn had much argument against her children wanting her to stop raising pigs. Her children told her, not to worry, they will take care of the fiesta preparations.

Although she had agreed about the new fiesta assignments. She constantly talk about what will happen to the upcoming fiestas. She wants the fiesta legacy to continue even when she is not around.

Thus, I and my auntie were inspired to create a Facebook account for her. Social media is a great tool and medium to store cherish the moments -- that is our lola's many legacies.

My lola's past, present and upcoming memories. We wish will be saved in our hearts as well as in photos and videos.

Nowadays it is easy to take a "dupie" with someone we love. We would be promoting amongst us to take dupies with our lola and simply tag her. Generations upon generations will get to see her goodness.

Bigger than my mistakes and failures his love is bigger. How this be shown to me?

His love never fais never runs out dry. How does this comes to me. With reason and emotion I am discovering that I may be raise or am in a family culture of favoritism. And I wanted that favoritism play a part in my life that is why I am testing him.
